Attachment: The Therapeutic Power of Relationships

This is a 3 hour training designed to provide information to both mental health and other community health professionals, focusing on the topic of attachment. This training will explore the role of attachment in all human functioning; from both neurosequential and sociological perspectives, providing an ‘attachment lens’ through which to view and assess psychosocial impairments. This training will also explore how disrupted attachments underlie most personal and societal ails, and how human relationships are the greatest factor for resiliency of mental and social health.
- Participants will acquire and be able to implement an attachment lens when assessing and diagnosing, focusing on the role of attachment in the etiology of psychosocial impairments.
- Participants will acquire and be able to implement an attachment lens when treatment planning, focusing on the role of attachment in the recovery of psychosocial impairments.
- Participants will acquire a conceptualization of the neuroscience of attachment and be able to implement neurosequential attachment-based interventions.
